What this journal is for
Olympus Journal brings three kinds of reading onto the same page: comparison of Greek myths through named ancient sources, practical orientation to temple architecture, and critical reading of modern classical imagery. We write for curious general readers, students beginning a topic and visual practitioners who want to use historical references responsibly.
The journal is not an excavation report, a museum catalogue or a substitute for specialist scholarship. Its job is to make a careful first route into the subject, show the sources behind factual claims and state when an image is a contemporary invention.
How material is checked
Architecture and object claims are checked against museum, archaeological or academic records. Myth articles name the ancient author and work for the version being discussed. Images are classified as photographs, historical records, reconstructions or contemporary illustrations rather than treated as interchangeable evidence.
